Seeking qualified “hands on” product development individual. Must be creative, self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision. Main duties will include designing, developing, testing and releasing new performance products for a leading aftermarket automotive company.

Requirements

• Good communication and follow-though skills
• BSME degree and 2-3 years experience drafting, designing and developing mechanical components and systems, writing bills of material, completing engineering documents and developing technical product manuals
• 3D/solids CAD proficiency. Solidworks, Ashlar-Vellum, Autocad
• Minimum of two years experience in automotive diagnosis and repair
• Knowledge of standard engineering drawing / tolerancing practices
• Ability to interpret and produce engineering drawings proficiently
• Ability to read measurement tools and perform basic math
• Intermediate level skills using computer applications (MS Office -Word, Excel)
• High level of attention to detail
• Knowledge of machining and fabrication operations
• Technical writing ability (instruction manuals)
• BOM creation
• Ability to assemble, manage, retrieve, and distribute critical design data

Preferred

• Hands-on experience with performance automotive and racing engine applications
• Experience with engine / chassis dynamometer testing and electronic calibration of engines
• Knowledge of ISO 9000 and ASME/ANSI standards
• Fabrication skills working on lathe, mill and band saw, including welding (MIG and TIG)
